Freitag und Samstag war das Wetter durchzogen: Es war bewölkt, windete, regnete horizontal und hatte auch trockene Phasen, manchmal sogar mit einem bisschen Sonne um 18 Grad. So fand ich wie immer den idealen Zeitpunkt um eine Stunde am Meer joggen zu gehen – meine Mutter spazierte und kehrte um, wenn ich zurückjoggte. : )

Friday and Saturday the weather was mixed: It was overcast, windy, rained horizontally and also had dry phases, sometimes even with a bit of sun around 18 centigrade. As always, I found the ideal time to go for a run on the beach for an hour - my mum walked and turned when I jogged back. : )

Am Abend erwarteten wir Besuch: Deepa und Gybren. Deepa lernte ich am ersten Tag meiner Ankunft auf Fiji 2017 (Blog: https://franziskaaeschbach17.blogspot.com) kennen, als ich 7 Monate Neuseeland und Polynesien bereiste. Ich wohnte 2 Monate bei ihr in Nadi, von wo ich Tonga im Süden und die samoischen Inseln im Norden besuchte. Deepa wohnt nun seit einem Jahr mit ihrem Freund Gybren in Groenlo im Osten Hollands, und wir nahmen die Gelegenheit wahr uns wiederzusehen… Um 21 Uhr fuhren sie zu, wir stellten ihre Sachen in ihr Studio (ebenfalls Beach Apartments https://www.beachapartments.nl) und begaben uns in unser Apartment, wo wir uns gaaanz viel zu erzählen und noch mehr zu lachen hatten…

In the evening we expected visitors: Deepa and Gybren. I met Deepa on the first day I arrived in Fiji in 2017 (blog: https://franziskaaeschbach17.blogspot.com) on my 7-months travel through New Zealand and Polynesia... I lived with her for 2 months in Nadi, from where I visited Tonga in the south and the Samoan islands in the north. Deepa now lives with her boyfriend Gybren in Groenlo in the east of Holland since a year and we took the opportunity to see each other again... They drove up at 9 pm, we put their things in their studio (also Beach Apartments https://www.beachapartments.nl) and went to our apartment where we had a looot to talk about and even more to laugh...

Nach einer späten Nacht am Freitag, schliefen wir am Samstag aus und trafen uns um 11 Uhr bei uns zum Frühstück. Dann ging es auf einen vergnüglichen Spaziergang am Strand und durchs Städtchen Zandvoort inkl. Besuch im Juttersmu-Zee-Um (http://www.juttersmuseum.nl), einem Museum wo alles Kuriose oder eben Normale ausgestellt ist, das an den Strand gespült wird.

After a late night on Friday, we slept in on Saturday and met at 11 am for breakfast in our apartment. Thereafter we went on a pleasurable walk on the beach and through the little town of Zandvoort including a visit to Juttersmu-Zee-Um (http://www.juttersmuseum.nl), a museum where you can find all curious or normal things which is washed upon the beach.

Zum Abendessen hatten wir schon um 17:30 Uhr in der viel gelobten Zizo Lounge (https://www.zizolounge.nl) reserviert, nur gerade 300 m Richtung Norden auf dem Fussgängerboulevard. Und das war echt der absolute Hit: Das wunderschöne Ambiente mit den privaten runden Abteilungen, das aufgestellte Personal, das leckere Essen und natürlich unsere humorvolle Leichtigkeit, die uns immer höher zu tragen schien! Wir assen sehr viel und probierten uns durch die ganze Menukarte… wir bestellten immer nur einen Gang zum Teilen, dann den nächsten bis wir nicht mehr konnten!

Was für ein harmonisches Wochenende mit sehr viel Spass, Tiefgang und Gemütlichkeit!!! : ))

For dinner we had made an early reservation at 5:30 pm at the much-praised Zizo Lounge (https://www.zizolounge.nl), just 300 m north on the pedestrian boulevard. And that was really the absolute hit: The wonderful ambience with the private, rounded departments, the great staff, the delicious food and of course our humorous lightness that seemed to carry us higher and higher! We ate a lot and tried our way through the whole menu... we only ordered one course to share at once, then the next until we couldn't anymore!

What a harmonious weekend with lots of fun, depth and cosiness! : ))
