Um 8:30 Uhr holte ich meine Mutter und ihr Gepäck im Altersheim ab. Sie
wohnt 10 Fahrminuten von mir und gepackt hatten wir gestern schon. Unser Frühstück
und gute Reisevibes holten wir uns 45 Minuten später bei meiner Tochter
Melanie, ihrem Mann Felix und meiner Enkelin Hanna. : )
At 8:30 am I picked up my mum and her luggage from the old people's home. She lives a 10-minute drive from my home and we had packed her things already yesterday. 45 minutes later we got our breakfast and good travel vibes from my daughter Melanie, her husband Felix and my granddaughter Hanna. : )

Um 10:15 Uhr mit vollen Mägen starteten wir unsere 9-stündige und 850 km
Fahrt nach Zandvoort in Holland. Meine Mutter wurde vor 85 Jahren in den
Niederlanden in der Universitätsstadt Utrecht geboren. Das letzte Mal fuhr ich
vor 4 Jahren mit ihr an die Nordsee und bereits damals waren all die vielen
Autobahnen in Deutschland vestopft... jetzt ist es noch schlimmer, und das an
einem Sonntag ohne LKWs! : ( - Wir sind einfach zu viele Menschen auf diesem
Planeten!!! - Ich wechselte einige Male die Autobahnen und fuhr zeitweise auch
durch Frankreich - nur wenige Male konnte ich mein Auto auf den deutschen
Autobahnen so richtig ausfahren und mit 180 - 200 km/h der Freiheit etwas näher
sein...
At 10:15 am with full stomachs we started our 9-hour and 850 km trip to Zandvoort in Holland. My mum was born in the Netherlands 85 years ago in the university city of Utrecht. The last time I drove with her to the North Sea was 4 years ago and even then all the many highways in Germany were congested... now it's even worse, even on a Sunday without trucks! : ( - We are just too many people on this planet!!! - I changed highways a few times and at times I even drove through France - only a few times could I really drive out my car on the German autobahn and feel a little closer to freedom at 180-200 km/h...

Um 19 Uhr fuhren wir im Beach Apartments (https://www.beachapartments.nl) in Zandvoort vor, wo uns Michel
bereits erwartete. Ich hatte vor 2 Wochen bei ihm diese wunderschöne Wohnung
gebucht weil meine Mutter unbedingt nochmals die Niederlande ihr Heimatland besuchen
wollte. Michel nahm sich Zeit uns mit dem Gepäck zu helfen, uns stolz sein
apartes Apartment zu zeigen und alles zu erklären. : )
At 7 pm we drove up to the Beach Apartments (https://www.beachapartments.nl) in Zandvoort, where Michel was already awaiting us. I had booked this beautiful apartment two weeks ago because my mum really wanted to visit her home country Holland (Netherlands) once again. Michel took his time to help us with our luggage, to proudly show us his special apartment and explain everything! : )

Genau richtig zum Sonnenuntergang um 19:45 Uhr machten wir uns über die
Promenade und die Treppe runter zum nächsten Strandpavillon Tam Tam Native Club (https://www.tamtambeach.nl) um uns dort verwöhnen zu lassen. Genau die richtige Wahl: Dort herrschte eine
Stimmung nach dem letzten heissen Sommerwochenende dieses Jahres! Alle waren
fröhlich und ohne Masken - die Niederlande appelliert an die
Eigenverantwortung! : ))
Nach tollem Essen, ebensolchen Bekanntschaften und live Musik begaben
wir uns die Treppe wieder rauf in unser wunderschönes Apartment, das zu schön ist um
ins Bett zu gehen… und wir beschlossen: Wir bleiben einfach hier!? ; ))

7:45 pm, we made our way down the promenade to the next beach pavilion: Tam Tam
Native Club (https://www.tamtambeach.nl), where we had ourselves treated. The perfect choice: What a
cheerful atmosphere after the last hot summer weekend of this year! Everyone
was happy and without masks - the Netherlands appeal to individual
responsibility! : ))
After great food, same acquaintanceships and live music, we headed back up
the stairs to our beautiful apartment, which is just too beautiful to go to
bed, and we decided: We’ll just stay here!? ; )
